REFUGIO (Kiii Sports) - The Refugio Bobcats feel like they're ready to face anything that comes their way these playoffs, and that feeling could come in handy this Friday night.
The top-ranked Bobcats will face #4 East Bernard in a state quarterfinal match-up many have been anticipating since the playoffs began. Both teams come into Friday's showdown undefeated at 12-0.
Refugio feels like last year's state championship game and their region semifinal match-up against Lexington has them ready for anything the Brahmas bring. The Bobcats edged Cisco in last year's title game 36-35 with a 4th stand on the final drive. They then went into halftime tied with Lexington 14-14 last week before outscoring the Eagles 35-7 in the second half en route to a 49-21 win.
