CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Two women were arrested late Wednesday night, accused of stealing meat from a local grocery store.

Police were called out to the HEB on Kostoryz just before 10:30 p.m., after a store security guard stopped the women to question them about the products. One woman got upset and pushed the security guard away, and both took off running.

Police learned the suspects were hiding behind a pole at a nearby cell phone store with a young boy.

Rebekah Ramirez, 41, and Idolina Cisneros, 34, were taken back to the store where they were positively identified by security. They were arrested and charged with robbery. The stolen meat was recovered, and the boy was returned to his mother.
