City Council is expected to have the deal in front of them sometime over the next few weeks, regarding a deal between the City and HEB involving repairs on McCampbell Road.
The road leads to and from HEB's regional bakery on the city's northwest side. That facility has been around for more than 70 years, and sends out more than two million pounds of tortillas and bread every week to hundreds of HEB stores in Texas and Northern Mexico.
HEB says the improvements are needed so that delivery trucks can have an easier time making it in and out. However, the company said that, whether a deal is finalized or not, they do not plan on leaving.
