CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Corpus Christi Centurions have been putting up Refugio-like numbers on the football field, but this team is only about 4 feet tall.
The Centurions are a youth team made up of 7 and 8 year olds that have dominated teams this season en route to a 15-0 record. They've outscored their opponents 472-24 in those 15 wins. Even with all the points, the Centurions say they actually prefer the defensive side of the ball.
The Centurions can wrap up a state title this Saturday when they face the Waxahachie Little Indians Saturday at 10 am at Benson Stadium at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio.
