Wildcats Classic: Carroll & Miller Only Local Teams to Get Wins Thursday

Posted: Updated:

PORTLAND (Kiii Sports) - It was a rough opening day of the G-P Wildcats Classic for the majority of local teams as Carroll and Miller were the only local teams to get wins.

24th-ranked Carroll (5A) knocked off Schertz Clemens 79-65 earlier Thursday afternoon while #25 Miller (4A) took care of Lubbock Estacado 75-68. The two could meet Friday night in the tournament semifinals if both get wins in the afternoon. Carroll will face Manvel and Miller draws San Antonio Lanier with both games at noon.

The hosts of the tournament G-P lost in their first game as did Alice, Ray, King and Calallen.
