Local Man Receives 15 Year Prison Sentence in Houston - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

In Houston, a Corpus Christi man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison without parole.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said 31-year old Ubaldo Ramirez, a Mexican national illegally residing in Corpus Christi, pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Ramirez was a wanted fugitive here at home, with three outstanding warrants for failing to appear in Nueces County. He is expected to face deportation proceedings following his release from federal prison.
