Posted: Updated:

SAN MARCOS, TX (Kiii Sports) - Flour Bluff's undefeated and historic season came to a crashing halt Saturday in a 34-0 defeat at the hands of Leander Rouse at Texas State University.

The Hornets failed to convert several 4th downs throughout the game including the most catastrophic of which was a 4th and Goal from the 5 yard line. Flour Bluff was already down 14-0 in the 2nd when Senior Quarterback Kolton Mims was picked off trying to force the ball into coverage. The Raiders scored on a 54 yard touchdown on the ensuing drive and never looked back.

The Hornets' season comes to an end at 13-1 with the most wins in school history and the team's first ever appearance in the fourth round. Rouse is on to the 4A-Div. II State Semifinals against Georgetown. With Flour Bluff's ouster, football season in the Coastal Bend is officially over.
