Driver Hits Fire Hydrant, Bails Out of Truck

Officers are looking for a man who fled the scene of a major accident at La Palmera mall around Midnight. Investigators say the man driving a black truck jumped the curb and plowed straight through a fire hydrant, struck a light fixture, a palm tree, and a la Palmera sign. The driver then took off running. Police searched the area but did not find him. City workers were called in to stop all that water gushing from the ground . Luckily there were no injuries from the accident. Officer Hernadez said, "There was a couple of witnesses that actually followed him or were behind him when the accident happened but no body was able to follow him after he took off running." Officer Hernandez says the driver is still on the loose this morning. He is described as a Hispanic man last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants. Call police if you know anything about this crash.
