It was seen all across the skies of Texas, reported as a bright flash of light early Friday morning.
"Like a UFO taking a picture of the sky, like a big flash," eyewitness Stephanie Soto said. "My coworkers are talking about, 'Did you hear about the flash this morning?' I'm like, 'Flash? Should I be concerned?'"
"And it's going so fast that it actually gets through the atmosphere," eyewitness Carolyn Summers said. "That makes the glow."
Folks from all parts of Texas, including here at home, say it looked like a bright light above the Earth. Some suspected it may have been a UFO, but scientists say that is hardly the case.
A Houston museum's astronomer suspects it was just a meteorite burning through space.
