Ingleside Hosts 14th Annual Renaissance Fair

Posted: Updated:
INGLESIDE (Kiii News) -

It was time to rewind history, as the City of Ingleside held it's 14th annual Renaissance Fair this weekend at Live Oak Park.

The fair included archery, plenty of arts and crafts, and some demonstrations of how people worked metal into axes and swords.

Most everyone got the point that this was a real blast from the past; a period in history when things were much simpler, and people could juggle all that life threw at them, and much more.

"This is like the Renaissance Rocky Horror Picture Show," performer Adrian Walter said.

"Indeed, it's a freak show, where everybody can have fun at it, you know," performer Johnny Jaan said.

"I always love coming out here just to get away from the everyday rat race," said Ike Armstrong, who participated as a Dark Elf from Dungeons and Dragons. "Get away from work and come experience some of the things you don't normally see."

If you missed the event, it will be back next year for the 15th time.
