CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Throughout the day last Friday, thousands of your neighbors donated all kinds of non-perishable food items and cash to the Food Bank of Corpus Christi.

It was this year's 25th annual Share Your Christmas food drive, and when all was said and done, 77,601 pounds of food and $40,636 in cash were donated.

"It's shaping out to be an incredible year and the community came through for us with great generosity," said Bea Hanson, executive director of the Food Bank of Corpus Christi.

From all of us here at 3News, we want to thank everyone who participated and made the effort to help out.
