Following an article about Paul McCartney pushing for meat-free days, Yumi Media responds to the news with comments of praise.
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) December 11, 2012
On December 11, 2012, Yumi Media responded with comments of praise to a West Australian News article regarding Paul McCartney pushing for less consumption and more meat-free days.
According to the West Australian News article, “The vegetarian ex-Beatle wants them to consider cutting meat consumption to slow global warming as they discuss climate issues in Doha, Qatar.”
The article mentions that the reason meat consumption contributes to global warming is because the digestive emission of animals could be playing a role in the levels of green house gases on the planet. According to McCartney, "Encouraging initiatives such as Meat Free Monday would make a considerable difference to the future of the planet."
McCartney’s argument made in the article to consider this potential problem was, "although more and more evidence is coming to light showing how the growth of the global meat industry is having alarming environmental consequences, the impact of the livestock sector on global warming does not as yet seem to have been acknowledged."
Yumi Media knows the implications the meat industry is having on the environment and commends McCartney for fighting for a meat-free movement. “It is good to have a strong and recognizable figure behind this argument,” says Yumi Media representative Takara Licausi. “If you love to eat meat but believe in this movement, try Quorn meat alternative products.”
