CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A 35-year old Corpus Christi man was arrested on Tuesday and could be facing federal charges.

It was all the result of a joint investigation between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Corpus Christi Police Department's gang unit.

Federal agents carried out a search warrant at a home near the intersection of Prescott and Harriett at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

They said the man who lives there, 35-year old Arturo Rodriguez, was the target of the investigation. The search turned up an unknown amount or type of ammunition.

Rodriguez was arrested for a probation violation, and is currently in state custody, but he could be facing federal charges on the ammo that was found.

Federal agents said that this is all part of an effort to target violent offenders and drug traffickers.
