Medical Examiner Identifies Victim in Pedestrian Accident

The Nueces County Medical Examiner has released the name of a woman killed late Friday night after she was struck by a car.

The accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Friday, at the intersection of Leopard and Clarkwood Road.

Police said 32-year old Santa Isabel Lara was traveling down Leopard when she was struck by an older model Ford Taurus. Lara was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial, were she was pronounced dead.

Investigators said no citations have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.
