CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Hundreds of people around the world and back here at home are crowding into Catholic Churches Wednesday night to honor the patron saint of Mexico, the Virgin of Guadalupe.

It was just nearly 500 years ago when Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared before a man named Juan Diego on the slopes of the Hill of Tepeyac, requesting a church for her.

Kiii News Reporter Jessica James went Live from the Sacred Heart Church off of North Alameda to show us how folks are planning to celebrate this day.
