Taken with the purse were several credit cards, an uncashed payroll check, a gold coin, a 1.5-karat diamond ring worth $7,000, and a gold slide bracelet with diamonds worth about $8,000.

Police urge everyone not to leave valuables in your vehicle. Lock your vehicle and take your keys.
