Crime Stoppers: Robstown Auto Burglary

Corpus Christi Police Department investigators need your help to solve a burglary in the small community of Robstown.

A woman went to the Nueces County building on 710 East Main Street in Robstown for work-related training on Nov. 13. She parked her white sport utility vehicle at 8 a.m., and left her large black Coach purse on the front floorboard.

The woman did not lock her vehicle, and when she returned at noon, her purse was gone.

Taken with the purse were several credit cards, an uncashed payroll check, a gold coin, a 1.5-karat diamond ring worth $7,000, and a gold slide bracelet with diamonds worth about $8,000.

Police urge everyone not to leave valuables in your vehicle. Lock your vehicle and take your keys.

    Two Edinburg Police Officers are recovering after they were shot Tuesday evening in La Joya as they attempted to serve a capital murder warrant. The suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old Joaquin Cibrian, was shot and killed following an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement. Cibrian was arrested in September of last year in Alice for allegedly using city equipment and materials to make extra cash. He was a city employee at the time.More >>
