CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A Bishop man accused of shooting and killing two men back in August had his day in court on Friday.

Noe Salinas is facing two counts of capital murder for the deaths of 22-year old Juan Arnulfo Casso and 32-year old Mario Lee Briones.

The incident stemmed from a confrontation between Casso and Salinas after Salinas disciplined Casso's child. Both men have a child with the same woman.

On Friday, Salinas was arraigned in the 214th district court and entered a plea of not guilty. He and his lawyers requested a trial by jury.
