Coast Guard Actively Searching for Missing Swimmer
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A search is underway as Coast Guard officials say that they received reports of a swimmer in need of help.
Someone staying at the Seaside Condominiums called at around 3 p.m. Monday to report seeing the man out in the water, waving his hands for help. The caller reported seeing the man go under, and he did not resurface.
The man was last seen swimming about three miles south of the Port Aransas jetties, between mile marker six and seven. Coast Guard officials have a helicopter and a boat actively searching the waters.
The man was said to have dark hair and weighed between 200-250 pounds. If you know who that may be, call the Coast Guard Operation Center at 361-939-6393.
