CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

On Tuesday, Habitat for Humanity received a tremendous gift that will dramatically help change the lives of four local families.

Gene Bouligny presented Habitat for Humanity with a check for $100,000. The money will be used to build four homes in 2013.

When asked why he made such a donation, Bouligny said, "It's a good cause. You can't give to every charity, so what you have to do is select multiple charities that really do good work in the community. This one lives up to that standard."

This is not the first time Bouligny has made such a donation to Habitat for Humanity. In fact, he did it last year, resulting in four new homes for local families.
