HS BB: Calallen Hammers T-M; Cherokees Hold Off WIldcats

Posted: Updated:

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Calallen and Tuloso-Midway might both have a new home in District 30-4A, but it was the same old rivalry Tuesday between the two.

The Calallen boys took it to T-M early in a 73-45 win over the Warriors. The Wildcats improved to 1-0 in district play.

The girls' game had an added dynamic as former T-M coach Matt Odem took to the sideline again in the rivalry, but this time on the Calallen bench. However, it would be his former team that would get the upper hand late as the Cherokees hit their free throws late and held off the Wildcats 50-46.
