ROCKPORT (Kiii News) -

A woman accused of stealing money from a Rockport-Fulton High School's drill team has been indicted.

Crystal Simmons, 33, has been indicted on one count of state jail felony theft. The indictment comes almost exactly one year after Simmons was arrested for allegedly stealing the drill team's money, which was going to pay for a trip to New York City. The girls were supposed to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Simmons was an instructional aid at the school and was helping out with the drill team.

It was back in early November of last year when the Rockport-Fulton High School drill team noticed that thousands of dollars were missing from a special fund they had set up to pay for the trip.
