Tree Lighting Ceremony Held at Corpus Christi State School - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

There was plenty of Christmas cheer on display Wednesday afternoon at the Corpus Christi State School. Dozens gathered at the school for the annual tree lighting ceremony.

The event is sponsored every year by the Port industries, and along with the trees, the State School unveiled their newly designed gym. Artists from around the area contributed murals with an aquatic theme.

They also handed out awards for the best looking trees, decorated by the State School residents. Our own Chris Thomasson was on hand for Wednesday's event.
