CCPD Hosts Virtual Ride-Along via Twitter

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Have you ever wanted to be a Corpus Christi police officer? Well on Friday, you will have your chance to go on a virtual ride-along, via Twitter.

Police will be hosting a "tweet-along" to follow the Department's holiday initiative. Officer Kirk Stowers of the Corpus Christi Police Department will cruise in a patrol car  and send out information on Twitter so that the public can see what the day-to-day life of an officer is like.

"This a great opportunity to exhibit our activity, and really let people know what the holiday initiative is all about," Stowers said.

The tweet-along will be happening from 2-7 p.m. Friday. Just follow @corpuschristipd on Twitter. You can also see the CCPD Twitter feed directly from our homepage.
