Hit and Run Driver Leaves Behind License Plate

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police did not have to search very long for a driver accused of causing a hit and run accident on Thursday.

They say 21-year old Eric Baugher rear ended a sport utility vehicle at an entrance to I-37 near the a race track, and then took off. However, he left behind his licence plate.

Police tracked him down easily and arrested him. They say they found synthetic marijuana inside his pockets.

Baugher has been charged with DWI and possession of drugs.

    Corpus Christi Police say two people are under arrest for capital murder in connection to the death of a 6-year-old boy, Wednesday night. Officers have not yet released the names of the suspects, or their relationship with the child.The death happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Fig St. Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of the boy having seizures; he was rushed to Driscoll Children's Hospital where he later died.More >>
