Islanders Finally Return Home to Face UTSA Friday

Posted: Updated:

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - It was a long road trip for the Islanders, but they're back in town just in time for the holidays and hoping for a little home court advantage Friday.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will be back at the American Bank Center for the first time in three weeks after finishing off a three wee road swing that saw them go 0-4, but put in a decent performance against Texas A&M.

Now the Islanders turn their sights to a UTSA team that Coach Willis Wilson called "comparable" to their own. The Roadrunners and Islanders were conference rivals before UTSA joined the WEstern Athletic Conference this season. The Islanders say they're looking to build a little momentum heading into both the holiday break and then Southland Conference play after.

Tipoff is set for 7 pm Friday at the American Bank Center. Adult tickets are $5 and children get in free with each ticket sold.
