Shoppers Return to the Stores for Returns, Gift Card Exchanges

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Just a day after Christmas, many were out returning their Christmas gifts and using gift cards to buy more things.

There are a lot of reasons why people return and exchange gifts. Maybe they got the wrong thing, or maybe they simply did not like what they got.

There was plenty of shopping going on as well. Best Buy employees at the store near Everhart said the checkout line was the longest it has been since Black Friday. People were buying all sorts of items.

As for returns, managers there said that, if you have your receipt, it makes everything go a lot faster; but even if you don't, there are other ways to find the receipt. For instance, if you know the person's phone number that bought the gift, Best Buy can probably still find it.

Eight-year old Librado was there returning a Nintendo 3DS game. "We're returning this one because it was a 3D DS game, and I have a regular DS," he said.

"Returning a Kindle Fire case. A Kindle Fire HD case, and getting a Kindle Fire case," said Jonathan Kolb. "We just had the wrong case, and it didn't fit, so my son needs a little protection for his case, I believe."

Best Buy says they do require identification for returns, so make sure you have your ID with you.
