CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A 57-year old man was pulled over by police Thursday morning in the parking lot of Discount Liquor, located at Leopard and Starlite, for a traffic violation.
When the officer approached the vehicle, he saw what appeared to be an improvised explosive device inside of the vehicle.
The Bomb Squad was called in, and roads in the area were shut down for about 10 minutes. A robot was deployed to safely remove the device.
As of this report, there has been no word as to what the device actually was. Police are still investigating, but surrounded streets have been reopened to traffic.
