Corpus Christi's bravest coming together to help one of their own and hosting a very unique fundraiser.
It's called "Burpees for Blohm."
Firefighters hosted a benefit fundraiser where if folks donated one dollar, firefighters performed a burpee. This all took place at the Corpus Christi Fire Hall Association on Ayers. It's considered a very hard body mass exercise.
All the donations go towards Eric Blohm, a 25-year veteran with the Corpus Christi Fire Department who is a currently recovering from a brain surgery operation where a tumor the size of a lemon was removed.
Since then, Blohm has been relying on donations from the community along with faith.
Blohm, who is still recovering from the operation says, "you gotta go back to your faith and you pray to God that he can get it sorted through."
If you would like to make a donation, you can head over to the Corpus Christi fire fighter's Union Hall at the 6400 block of Ayers.
