More than two dozen illegal immigrants led police on a chase early Saturday morning.

Authorities say a Nueces County Deputy tried to stop a van on Crosstown Expressway near Weber, but the van didn't stop. Police say the driver headed toward SPID and the pursuit lasted about three miles. The driver, authorities say, crashed thru a fence near Ayes and Holly.

15 illegal immigrants bailed out of the vehicle and took off running. Police caught 10 of them, five managed to get away.
