CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police are still searching for the gunman in an armed robbery that took place Sunday at a downtown Subway.

Police said that, at around 5 p.m., a man walked into the Subway on Baldwin and Port. He pointed a gun at a female clerk, and demanded money.

The woman handed over the cash and the crook left on foot, leaving the clerk shaken, but unharmed.

"She did exactly what she should have done. She handed over the money and the man went out the door," said Officer Michael Pena of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "The last thing you want to do is fight with them over the money. Just give them what they want, let them leave and call us immediately."

Police said the robber was described as a black male standing five-foot seven to six feet tall. He had a black shirt over his head to hide his face.

If you have any information about this crime, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
