CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Carroll Tigers came out on fire against East Central and didn't let up in a 72-62 district-opening win.
The Tigers jumped out to a quick 12-0 lead to start the game, forcing the Hornets to call two quick timeouts. Carroll held off a slight East Central run later in the 1st quarter as Coach Shan Hooker's bunch regained control.
The Tigers will host archrival King next Tuesday in the first of two district match-ups between the two.
