An investigation is underway into a house fire on the 3000 block of Washington Street near Dunbar. Flames were shooting out of the windows when emergency crews first arrived to the home. It only took about 5 minutes to put out the fire, and fire fighters were able to keep the damage minimal. It broke out right around 5 Sunday morning. Fire officials say the home has been vacant for over a year. Investigators are trying to figure out if the fire may have been set by vagrants who broke into the home to try and stay warm.
