A local man has died from injuries that he sustained when he was run over by a vehicle near Packery Channel over the weekend.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office has identified him as 41-year old Adam Reed.
Reed and an unidentified woman were laying in the sand near Packery Channel Saturday, when a vehicle ran over both of them just before 1 a.m. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene.
However, officers were able to track the driver down by the Port Aransas Police Department. They arrested 19-year old Dahlton Osborn, who now faces charges of intoxication assault and intoxication manslaughter.
Reed's girlfriend, who was also injured, remains in the hospital.
