CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Two people are recovering after an accident.

The crash happened just before 3-am on South Padre Island Drive westbound near Everhart. Police say tire issues caused the solo wreck. The driver and one passenger were not wearing their seatbelts. Both people suffered non-life threatening injuries. Officials were forced to temporarily close two lanes of SPID. The driver is being cited for speeding.
