Police Respond to Overnight Accident on SPID

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Corpus Christi Police Department closed two lanes of traffic on the SPID freeway following an overnight accident near Everhart.

The accident happened just before 3 a.m. Wednesday. Police said tire issues caused the single-vehicle accident, during which the driver and one passenger were not wearing their seat belts.

Both individuals suffered non-life threatening injuries. However, the driver did receive a citation.
