18-Wheeler Downs Traffic Light, Power Lines Near Navigation - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

An 18-wheeler collided with a power pole at the intersection of Up River Road and Navigation Wednesday, knocking out power to some residents.

It happened at around 9:30 a.m. The big rig was turning out of a local business when the driver says his load shifted and caused the vehicle to slam into the pole.

The impact knocked down a traffic light and left a wire dangling on the ground. City and American Electric Power crews rushed to the scene to make repairs. Power has since been fully restored.
