Craigslist Meeting Gone Bad

Posted: Updated:

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Yet another Craiglist meeting gone bad. The latest happening Sunday afternoon around three on North Beach.

Officers say, a 37-year old man reported he had been robbed at gunpoint when he agreed to meet someone for a "massage service." The man arrived at a hotel on North Beach when he was approached by a man and woman.

He told police they were both carrying guns and demanded money from him. They also threatened to release two pit bulls on him if he didn't hand over the cash. Officers say the couple took his money then ran off.

Lt. Eugene Hernandez, CCPD, says, "We never located the weapon. We did recover two pit bulls involved."

Police found the pair at a nearby restaurant. They were arrested for aggravated robbery.
