Brush Fire in Rockport Destroys Land

ROCKPORT (Kiii News) -

A cloud of black smoke over Rockport could be seen for miles Sunday morning.

About 40 firefighters responded to a brush fire off of Pearl Street. Crews say it took about two hours to get the flames under control.

The blaze charred a couple acres of land. No homes were damaged by the fire.
