The City-County Health Department has confirmed that a young woman, said to be between the ages of 30-40, has dies as result of the flu. She was admitted to a local hospital on Tuesday, where she passed away.
Medical experts are still urging folks to get a flu shot if they have not done so already. They say it is the single best way to fight off the flu.
They also advise those who are sick with the flu to stay indoors so that they do not get others sick. Also, be sure to wash your hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand rub.
