January is National Blood Donor Month and Leticia Mondragon, who is in charge of Donor Development and Public Relations at the Coastal Bend Blood Center, says this month has been difficult.

Right now, the Coastal Bend Blood Center is experiencing a shortage in blood donors due to the flu season.

The Coastal Bend Blood Center is the sole provider of blood for 13 medical facilities in a 10-county area.
