St. Pius Parade Kicks Off National Catholic Schools Week - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Monday kicked off National Catholic Schools Week around the country, and here at home, the students at St. Pius X celebrated with a parade.

Students marched a one-mile loop in the neighborhood around St. Pius, with a police and fire truck escort.

"They are already motivated, and they love school," said Kathy Clarke of St. Pius X Catholic School. "They love coming to school here. All the ones in the nation, actually."

The parade is just one event scheduled for this week. Others include a talent show, a spelling bee and a special dress-up day.
