Incarnate Word Parents Get to Attend Open House Event

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Parents got a close look at the work their children accomplish at Incarnate Word Academy on Tuesday, as part of National Catholic Schools Week.

At an open house event, some lucky parents were able to observe their children as students. School administrators said the purpose of the event was to showcase the school itself, and make parents more familiar with the school and their kids' work.

"I think that it is really fun, because they get to learn and see what we are doing and understand what we are going," IWA student Victoria Molina said.

"It's kind of like they help us with their work, and they can teach us instead of the teachers checking our work, because they have a lot experience like the teachers," IWA student Jorge Rivera said.

Parents said it was wonderful to see the work their children have done so far into the new year.
