Go Red for Women Month Kicks Off at Christus Spohn Hospitals

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Feb. 1 marks the kick off of Go Red for Women month. It's a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of heart disease, specifically for women.

There were symbolic displays at various Christus Spohn hospitals Friday as part of the campaign.

Red was a popular color as people stood outside Christus Spohn South to form a human chain. Displays like that also took place at Christus Spohn Alice and Kleberg.

For the past decade, Go Red events like these have aimed to reduce the risks of heart disease in women through education, encouragement and awareness.
