Cause of Kingsville House Fire Ruled "Undetermined"

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

An investigation into a house fire in Kleberg County is complete. Fire Chief Joey Reed of Kingsville released his findings to 3 news.

This stems from a house fire that happened on January 19th in the 900 block of West Lee. Chief Reed says the cause has been ruled as "undetermined."

One of the reasons he says is because the residents moved items inside the home and removed parts of the building that could have been used as evidence. The investigation sparked after a suggestion by the homeowners saying someone intentionally started the fire.

In a statement sent to 3 news, Fire Chief Reed says, "The Fire Marshal and firefighters dug out the area where the fire appears to have started, but found nothing suspicious. The state's arson investigator agrees with our "undetermined" cause for this incident."
