CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

International Water Conservation leaders were at the Harte Research Institute on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on Thursday, discussing some of the important issues when it comes to our water and how scarce it is becoming.

"Having a clean and sustainable form of water is critical for living beings, and in particular, for humans," said Eva Fernandez of the FEMSA Foundation. "We need it for living."

The Harte Research Institute hosted what they call an international water priorities meeting. It featured environmentally conscious groups from around the world. They discussed everything from water conservation to freshwater inflows and developing ideas for sustainable water resources.

The hope of this meeting was to create partnerships that can come up with scientific answers that could help sustain our water supply.
