Former Kingsville Police Corporal Indicted for Sexual Abuse

KINGSVILLE (Kiii News) -

A Kleberg County Grand Jury has indicted former Corporal David Cerda with the Kingsville Police Department for continuous sexual abuse of a young child.

It was last April when Cerda turned himself into authorities. A young girl at Ricardo Elementary School had reportedly told a teacher that Cerda had touched her inappropriately.

Cerda was a six-year veteran of the police department.
