Mother and Three Children Killed in SUV Explosion - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

A mother and her three children passed away early this morning after their SUV exploded in Live Oak County.

According to state troopers, a family of five was heading to George West when their SUV slammed into a tree off of Highway 59, about a mile outside Beevile.

The impact caused the SUV to explode and catch fire. The driver and her 3 children were trapped inside the burning car and did not make it. The father was in the front seat and managed to survive.

DPS Troopers are still investigating the crash.
