Copperas Cove ISD to Use Bad Weather Days to Make Up for Missed Classes

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- Copperas Cove ISD has decided to use two bad weather days to make up for some of the classes students missed due to threats to campuses.

The district canceled classes December 12-14 of last year because of repeat threats issued on secondary campuses.

Because students needed to make up the missed days, the district asked the Texas Education Agency to waive those three missed days. The Agency approved one day and denied the other two.

That means Copperas Cove ISD has decided that two previously scheduled bad weather makeup days will be used as makeup days for the missed days.

The bad weather days that will be used are February 18 and March 29. These days will no longer be student or staff makeup days and class will be in session.
