Truck overturns in Port Arthur

Emergency workers spent hours Tuesday clearing an accident involving an overturned truck on West Port Arthur Road at the intersection with Highway 365.

A dispatcher told 12News The accident happened just after 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the truck was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth by ambulance. His injuries are said to be non life-threatening.

Traffic had to be diverted around the scene while the truck and its load were removed.
