Seashore Middle Academy Prepares for Regional Science Bowl

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Some of the brightest minds in the Coastal Bend were on display Tuesday at Seashore Middle Academy on the Island.

Students held a practice session as they prepare for the Regional Science Bowl. It is a sort of quiz game in which all things science are put to the test.

The kids from Seashore Middle Academy have actually fared well in the competition in recent years. In fact, they have made it all the way to the National Science Bowl in Washington D.C. two out of the last four years, a feat they hope to accomplish again.

"I expect to get to the finals," said Jared Haney of Seashore Middle Academy. "Our team will do good. Our team will get to Washington, and all of that."

"I'm kind of nervous to go back again," said C.J. Evaristo. "I hope we go to DC this year."

The Regional Science Bowl takes place Feb. 23 in Edinburg. If they win there, they are off to Washington. Kiii News wishes them the best of luck.
